Good evening Orchard Park Families,
PG&E has notified the school of a planned power outage scheduled for Thursday, March 4th 9:00AM-3:00PM for the area surrounding our school. The notification I received was specific to Orchard Park School saying there will be a power and network outage. Our school, surrounding commercial properties and 500 residences will be affected. Affected residents should have received a letter from PG&E.
Due to the power and network outage, the Orchard Park site will be closed on March 4th. There will not be any materials pick-up available on March 4th. The office will be closed and all office staff will be working remotely on March 4th. Office staff will be available by phone through our District's centralized network phone system.
All scheduled classes will be held through Distance Learning. Teachers are planning accordingly for the outage, as some students’ homes will also be affected. Teachers will communicate with their classes any specific accommodations being made for classes on March 4th.
District provided school lunches will be available 10:00-12:00 in front of the multi-use room as normal.
Sincerely,
Sinceramente,
Director Ed Dacus
