• School Matters

Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student’s academic success starting in kindergarten and continuing through high school.   Even as children grow older and more independent, families play a key role in making sure students get to school safely every day and understand why attendance is so important for success in school and on the job.

    -Attendance Works (www.attendanceworks.org)

There are three (3) ways a parent/guardian can notify the school about a student's absence:

    Phone Call
    Attendance absence line 925-779-7611

     Written Note
Notes can be dropped off or faxed to 925-779-7461

Items to include in your notification:

    - your child's name

    - the reason for the absence

    - parent/guardian signature

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The parent/guardian has 3 days to clear the absence.  If the absence is not cleared with appropriate documentation, it remains on the students records as an unexcused absence.
