Welcome 8^th grade Eagles!

It is wonderful to be back to in-person learning. I am looking forward to our journey studying the history of the United States from its beginnings through the period after the Civil War - the Reconstruction Era.

 History is the study of the past. In studying the past, we understand today. Learning both our successes and our failures helps us prepare for a better future. This is the importance of history. My goal is to help students appreciate the past and to learn how it is relevant to today. 

 This is my twelfth year with Antioch Unified School District. I came from Nebraska to California to attend college. I've left a couple of times but always moved back. My son is a graduate of Antioch High. Go Panthers! My daughter is a graduate of Deer Valley High. Go Wolverines!  I call Antioch home.
