I have been teaching for the Antioch Unified School district for over 20 years. I spent 11 years at Deer Valley High School teaching Spanish and this is my 11th year with Dozier-Libbey Medical High School. Prior to working in Antioch, I taught for the Adult Education and Independent Study program for Liberty Union High School District and for the Eastern Sierra Unified School District. I studied Spanish at CSU Stanislaus and CSU Sacramento. I have lived and studied in Guatemala, Mexico and Spain. I have also studied French and Pokomchi, a Mayan language from Guatemala. This last summer I had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica for the first time. It was wonderful!

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies in Spanish and English, hiking, traveling, bird-watching, spending time with friends and family, and cuddling with my pet bunny, Holly.

I am proud to be a part of the Dozier-Libbey teaching faculty and to work with the students, parents, staff and community associated with our unique school.
