Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Christine Marshall

Welcome to the 2022/2023 school year. I am excited about starting this year and hope that all of the students will have a fun experience with physical education. Please look to this site for updates throughout the year.

Your child's teacher will be letting you know which days they have PE. All students in 1st-5th grades and the K-1 combo will have physical education two times per week. If your child is ever unable to participate in PE due to illness or injury, we need you to send in a note. This note will excuse them for three days, after which we will need a doctor's note.

SHOES:

All students need to wear athletic type shoes on their PE days. Crocs (even in sport mode), sandals, flip-flops, boots, etc. are not appropriate footwear for safety reasons. Failure to wear appropriate shoes may result in students being unable to participate, which can affect their grades. At times, shoes may get a little dirty due to most activities being played on our field, so if the shoes are special tennis shoes or they are worried about creases, then those aren't the best choice. They can change shoes before PE class if they want to keep some tennis shoes in their backpacks.

WATER BOTTLES

I encourage all students to bring a water bottle to PE class so they can stay hydrated. If you are sending your child with  a water bottle, please make sure his/her name is written on the bottle in permanent marker, even if it is a disposable bottle, as many students often have the same one.
