Strength and Conditioning
This is a list of website links with articles about strength based exercises, stretches, and ways to avoid injury. This is a great place to have athletes observe additional coaching specific to their competition event. If you find a quality article, please forward to the coach.
Sports Physicals and Clearance
All athletes must complete a sports physical before joining the team and participating in team activities. Physicals must be dated after July 1, 2018 to be considered valid for sports during the 2018-2019 school year. Track and Field is a Spring sport, and many athletes have completed the sports physical requirement. For the Head Coach to have access to your information, please go to AthleticClearance.com and add Track and Field to your list of sports. If you do not have an account with Athletic Clearance, please create one and collect your paperwork from your previous coach. The website is very user friendly and instructions are given at every step.
Training Plan - Within the Track season, there are cycles to pay close attention to. This is sometime difficult for a high school athlete to recognize. They sign up for track and expect to start competing right away, or don;t understand the why behind each workout.
