Our Vision and Mission Statements
Our mission at Marsh Elementary School is to provide engaging academic and cooperative learning activities that are both guided and collaborative for our students. This will lead to independent and interactive learning experiences. These best practices will be designed to promote student inquiry and discovery about the world in which they live. They will also help prepare all students for college, career, and life.
A Little History
Marsh Elementary School is the oldest elementary school in Antioch, California. This school has 32 classrooms, a multi-purpose room, a library and an administration building. In addition, there are 3 portables on the site. The initial construction was completed in 1947. Additional construction, which included Wing III, a multi-purpose room, additional classrooms and a library, were built in phases between 1952 and 1972. The school opened in 1947 and was dedicated in 1948. Maintenance and modernization has taken place over the years at Marsh Elementary School.
