Mr. Amrit Lal

Dear Parents and Students.

In the school year, 2020-2021, I will be the 4th grade teacher in room 805. I have been teaching in Antioch Unified since 2015. I have been in the teaching profession since 1981. I have been teaching in California since the year 2000. Before teaching in California, I was a teacher in the Fiji Islands, where I taught elementary school, middle school, and high school literature. In California, I have taught in Oakland and Hayward schools. I have taught multiple subjects and middle school and high school math, social studies, and computers.

My qualifications include a California clear multiple subjects credential (CalState), BA in interdisciplinary subjects (National University), BA in Education and Literature (University of the South Pacific), Teaching English as Second Language ( Massey, NZ), MS in Education Technology and Leadership (CalState). I am also a certificated graphic designer and a licensed sales person (realtor).

This year I will start by teaching multiple subjects through Distance Learning by using Microsoft Teams. On the left side bar, you will find links of how to access the student password for Teams and the other required logins.

For Distance Learning, my expectations for the students will be to:

Login Teams and complete the assigned work daily.

Attend the Teams meeting every morning according to the schedule.

During live teaching, the sudents are to mute their mikes and raise their hand if they have questions.

Students can contact me during the "office hour",if they have questions about the subject matter.

Students will complete the assigned task on I-Ready.

Students will dress appropriately when in front of the camera during live classes.

Parents and students will also be able to contact me by using my school email,

I hope we will have a great school year.

Thank you so much.
