Ms. Jennifer Bannerman
I have been teaching for 17 years in Special Day Classes. I attended San Jose State University for the majority of my bachelor degree and my credential program. I did attend UC Santa Barbara for 2 years prior to San Jose State University to study Marine Biology. I started teaching in San Jose at the Santa Clara County Office of Education where I taught a kindergarten to third grade class for children with Autism. I moved to Antioch Unified School District in 2008-2009 school year. I have enjoyed working with my students who are kindergarten to second grade at Mno Grant Elementary. )
I have an awesome staff in our room. Classroom IA's are Kristy Weyrauch and Stephanie Carniglia. This year we have 3 aides assigned to specific students. They are: Bill Grummel, Mia Valentine, and Kalisha Austin. All of our staff is dedicated to our students and enriching their school experience as well as helping them all reach their IEP goals.
The best way to reach me during the school day is by email: firstname.lastname@example.org. If after school, you may be able to reach me on the classroom phone at (925) 779-7465 extension 20203.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my niece and nephew (5 and 11 years old) and my 2 dogs. I enjoy scrapbooking, quilting, and reading.
We have 3 rules in our class:
- Listen and Follow directions/ try your best
- Keep your hands and feet to yourself
- Walk in the classroom and around campus
