Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Stacey Clay

I recieved my BA through California State University Hayward and my teaching credential through Bethany College.   I started teaching in 1988 at Discovery Bay Elementary School.  I spent my first year teaching in the library, until my room was delivered.  (A brand new permanent protable.)  At that time Discoery Bay Elementary was about 5 classrooms.  In 1994 my oldest son was born and we moved to Antioch. I  began teaching for Antioch Unified School District at Bidwell Elementary School.  During my first year in Antioch, I taught in a room with two other teachers, we had 60 students in one room. It was quite an adventure and a very successful year!

In 1998 Mno Grant Elementary opened.  I transfered in,  and my second son was born.  My children and I all attened Mno Grant at one point in time.  In the early years Mr. Mno Grant visited regularly and shared stories about himself with our students.  He shared his artwork, hobbies and opinions on how important an excellent education is.   He was a very special person. Over the years I have taught first, second, fourth and fifth grades.  Every year is a new adventure!

  • We are still learning how to count and sort money.  Today we added nickels to the mix.  If you have spare change at home it would be fun to sort and count your coins.
