Welcome to 4th Grade!
My name is Theresa Gabor, and I am looking forward to being your student’s 4th grade teacher! It’s wonderful to be back in a classroom, even with some changes to keep everyone as safe as possible. As we launch this new and unusual year, here are the most important things you need to know:
*Everyone is required to wear a mask indoors. While the school will have some masks available, it would be helpful if you can send your student to school with a mask that fits.
*Students will eat lunch outside, with space between students.
*In the classroom, students will be in rows facing the front, with space between desks.
*Movement around the classroom will be limited, and students will line up with same kids they’re seated with. This will make contact tracing easier, if needed.
*Please keep your student home if they show any symptoms of COVID or are ill with something else.
*I will provide all the supplies students will need at school.
*Students should bring a water bottle every day. Please make sure that water bottles close tightly so we can avoid spills.
*Please send your student with the smallest possible backpack or bag. The classroom is crowded, and big backpacks make it difficult to get around.
*At home, it would be helpful if you can provide your student with pencils, paper, scissors, glue, and something to color with.
*Monday through Thursday, students will have one page of math homework.
*If there is an assignment that a student didn’t complete in class in a reasonable amount of time, they may need to bring it home to finish.
Keep in Touch!
*The easiest way to reach me is by e-mail: TheresaGabor@antiochschools.net. I can usually get to my email during the day, while phone calls have to wait until after school.
I’m looking forward to an exciting year!
