GOOD JOB! YOU FINISHED 4TH GRADE!

I wish we could all be together to celebrate. We'd play some games, watch a movie, do some art, and relax. This was a really weird end of the year, and I think it's still going to be strange when we come back in August. But you guys are awesome and we'll make it work. We'll have some new programs in place that will make it easier to work together online- that's what I'll be learning about over the summer 😊

Next week, on Wednesday, June 3, from 1-2, your family can drive by the school and we'll have packed up all the stuff you left in your desk. (There may be another little surprise in your bag of stuff, too!) If you still need to return a library book or instrument, bring it that day, too. I'll be there, hoping to see you! Also, next week I'll share some sites that will still be available during the summer, and some that are available all year that you might like to explore.

Before you go, leave a comment below about how you're doing. How do you feel about finishing 4th grade? What are you thinking about next year and being a 5th grader? What are you looking forward to doing this summer? (Please sign with your name or code name, so I know who said what. You only need to do it once, and your answers will show up in the afternoon.)

I miss you and can't wait to have our class back together again!  ❤️ Ms.Gabor

Happy Terrific Tuesday! Guess what?! I will be teaching 5th grade with you! I know we talked about how that was the plan, but it's for sure now. I'm really happy about it! I don't know what school is going to look like in August- we may be back in the classrooms or we may still be online, but we'll be back together, and that makes me very happy!

On Wednesday, May 20, from 3:00-4:00we're having a driving parade at the school! All of the teachers will be lined up outside the school with posters and signs, and you can drive by to say hello! I'll be there, and would love to see you and your family. Just remember, you need to come in a car and not walking, so we can stay far enough apart.

Please make sure you are working on iReady every day, so that you can get an hour (60 minutes) of iReady Math AND an hour (60 minutes) of iReady Reading by Friday. 15 minutes a day of each will get you there! You should also spend time on Reflex Mathuntil you have mastered your facts. (Look -> for directions for logging in to Reflex.)

Music- Today is our Music day, so head to -> Mrs. Tuning's page to see what she wants you to do.

Writing- It was great to hear what you guys have been up to yesterday! I wrote back, so you might want to go back and see what I left you -> Monday Check-in

For today's writing, I'd like you to think about talking with animals. Right now, you're probably getting a little tired of talking with so few people, so now might be a good time to be able to talk with your pets or the animals outside... Head to ->Talking with Animals to share your thoughts.

Math Challenge of the Day Leave your answer, with an explanation of how you got it, with your name, in the comments section below. Your comment won't show up until the end of the day, so no one can "steal" your answer ;-).  Check back tomorrow to see how you did! (Yesterday's answer was 12 people. There were 4 kids, and each brought 2 more people, so think if it as 4 groups of 3 people, which makes 12 people!)

Science- If you'd like to learn more about energy, light, and sound waves, head over to the ->Science link. There, you'll find a ton of Mystery Science units to watch. Even if you can't do the experiments, you can still learn something. Try one or two a day, try them all in one day... do what works for you!
