Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Brenda Howell
Hello Grant Grizzllies!!!
My name is Brenda Howell and I am one of the sixth grade teachers at Mno Grant Elementary. I will be teaching English Literature, Writing, and Social Studies. It is exciting to welcome you and your child to my classroom this year. Here is a little about my background; I graduated from Patten College with a B.A. in Liberal Studies with my major concentration in English and a B. A. in Biblical Studies. I took my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential classes at Cal State Monterey Bay. I have taught in private Christian Schools, a Muslim Charter School, and Public Schools. I have experience teaching grades 1-12. This is my 30th year teaching with the majority of those years in the Bay Area and this is my 5th year at Mno Grant Elementary.
I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know every student in my classes. This year might be a challenging one for your child with the change in schedule and teachers, however, I will try to make the classes interesting and the transition smooth, so that each child understands as well as enjoys them. I am planning activities to develop the creative skills and interests of students that fulfill the Common Core Standards. I hope to make this academic year, an educational as well as an exciting year for the students.
Be sure to check my web page on Mno Grant’s website for important dates, assignments, links, and correspondence from the classroom and the school. You will find a copy of this letter, the academic requirements, classroom/online expectations, a class schedule and a yellow assignment sheet in the Welcome Folder you receive at the Welcome Back Drive Through on September 1st, 8:30-11:30. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me at BrendaRobinson@antiochschools.net
