Welcome to Seventh and Eighth Grades STEM/STEAM/MESA. I have designed a class where project based learning is the primary way to learn about the ever changing scientific world around us. I am proud to have been a teacher for over 30 years and most recently was named the Mary Allan Fellows Award winning teacher for Antioch Middle Schools for the year 2017!
The first half of my career was in my hometown of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where I taught elementary, middle and evening School to high school age students. I was so proud to teach in the school that I went to in Junior High School. After teaching in Israel for an overseas assignment, many of my friends taught in California and that began my hiking and outdoors enjoyment days here. I taught in Brentwood, Clayton and Pasadena, California before coming to Antioch where I am enjoying wrapping all that I know into my STEM/STEAM/MESA assignements mixing science, art and engineering! I enjoy long walks with my Shadow, my Jack Russell Terrier, who follows me wherever I go. We have been to Oregon, Los Angeles, New York City as well as Pennsylvania and New Jersey! We love to travel and encourage all to find out more about the world around them.
