• What is the After School Education and Safety (ASES) Program?

    California’s After School Education and Safety (ASES) grant provides funding for literacy and academic enrichment in a safe environment to eligible students.  Students receive help with homework, supper and a nutritious snack, and enrichment activities such as PE, dance, art, crafts, and computer skills.  Since 2012, the District has partnered with Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) to provide the services.  The ASES Program is an extension of the regular school day, and students are expected to follow the school rules for attendance, dress, and behavior.

    When is the program offered?

    The program operates every school day, beginning immediately following the regular school day until 6:00 PM.  The program is closed on non-school days.
