  • AUSD is now offering an online Driver's Education Course / Clases para aprender a manejar

    The AUSD drivers education course is a free online course for AUSD students. The course is 30 hours and students will receive a certificate of completion that can be used to take the written test for the learners permit at DMV. Esta es una clase de manejo en línea de 30 horas autorizada por el Departamento de Vehículos Motorizados de California (DMV) para aprender a conducir.

  • Post Census Redistricting

    Education Code Section 5019.5 requires districts to review population data following every census to determine if voting Trustee Areas are still within the allowable variance and Trustee Area boundaries must be adjusted to make sure each area has as equal a population as possible.   • Important Updates Regarding 2020-2021 High School Grades

    On July 1, 2021, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 104 (AB104) into law and AUSD would like to provide you with important information on how this legislation may relate to your student. Per AB104, parents/guardians of students who were enrolled in high school during the 2020-21 school year may request to have a letter grade earned for a course changed to a Pass or No Pass on the student's transcript.     On July 9, 2021, Governor Newsom signed into law AB 130 which made some changes to Independent Study. For the 2021-2022 school year, AUSD is required to inform parents of their option to enroll their student in in-person instruction or Independent Study.

  • Thomas Gaines Virtual Academy Registration

    AUSD is pleased to announce the grand opening of the Thomas Gaines Virtual Academy. The Thomas Gaines Virtual Academy is an alternative school of choice open to all K-8 students in AUSD who thrive in a virtual learning environment, are independent and self-motivated, would like to accelerate their learning, and/or need a flexible learning option. The Thomas Gaines Virtual Academy promotes student voice and choice, student goal setting and monitoring, critical thinking, community, and collaboration.

    Antioch Unified School District, in partnership with our teachers and instructional leaders, has reviewed instructional materials in the following content areas. After a rigorous review process, specific programs have been selected and will be presented to the Board of Education during their virtual meeting being held on May 12, 2021.
