Mrs. Kane is 2022 Classified Representative of the Year!
Mrs. Kane is our Instructional Assitant at Mission Elementary School. She has been with AUSD since 1997 and has spent her entire career at Mission. Mrs. Kane has developed and runs GATE enrichment program, sits on School Site Council, and administers the CAASPP and ELPAC tests. Mrs. Kane centers her life around church, her community and volunteering. She is currently the Vice President of a young children's organization overseeing and training dozens of volunteer teachers. She has been the Director of a Wilderness camp in the Sierra's for over 250 young women. There is more...Mrs. Kane has also partnered in "Dress for Success", a program helping women who are reentering the work force, volunteered with Fishes and Loaves, and volunteers with the set up and successes of the Contra Costa County Fair. Believe it or not, these are just a few of her volunteer programs. Mrs. Kane says that her greatest reward is seeing the "light bulb" come on in a student's eye and hearing the student's say, "thank you for teaching me." Liz lives by her parent's life lesson of "always go the extra mile in whatever responsibility you are given." Congratulations Mrs. Kane-Our 2022 Classified Representative of the Year!
