FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL, SEPT 1st

Good evening Orchard Park families,

We are very excited for the opening of our new school year. We have missed our students and our families. This year’s opening is proving to be as unique and unusual as the closing of the last school year. Together we will make this work and do our very best to make a successful school year for all of our students. A couple of pieces of information for the opening of school.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 1st, and we are opening in full distance learning.

Families that have not gone through our registration process/data confirmation of address, phone numbers, and annual documents may do so on our make-up registration days Sept. 1st and 2nd. It is a drive through format. Drive to multi use room, stay in your car, hand your registration packet to staff, and we will deliver your class schedule and materials to the vehicle.

For students that are in need of and have not checked out a district laptop can check out a laptop at Antioch Middle School or Diablo Vista Elementary School Monday, August 31st 12:00-6:00.

Students should be rostered into their classes on the learning platforms, and teachers will be messaging students through their district email and Teams/Seesaw with first day and week information. Our primary goal the first week of school is to make sure students are able to login to computers and platforms, and beginning learning how to navigate the applications.

Attendance will be taken each day and each period in middle school.

If students are having difficulty logging in or accessing their laptop, mylocker, or learning platforms please let the office know and we will try to help you as quickly as possible.

We appreciate everyone support and look forward to a howling great year.

Ed Dacus, Principal
