• Facilities Overview

    • Develops and maintains long-range master plans for the district related to new school construction and new additions to our modernization projects at existing schools.

    • Organizes and coordinates new school building planning, design, funding approval, project award and construction.  This includes permanent building construction and all portable-building installations.

    • Coordinates the district's use of public buildings for school related purposes.

    • Assists with demographic studies of students and the compiling of demographic profiles for the planning of school building facilities.

    • Meets and confers with other planning agencies and private land developers about site and school building planning.

    ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID #19-20-01

    PROJECT: ASPHALT COATING (AC) PAVING REPAIRS AT PARKING LOTS AT DEER VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

    Notice is hereby given that sealed CUPCAA bids will be received by the Board of Trustees of the Antioch Unified School District of Contra Costa County, California, at 2:00 PM on October 03, 2019, at the AUSD District Office, Attn: Facilities, 510 G Street, Antioch, CA, 94509.  All inquiries concerning this bid shall be directed to Sajeev Madhavan, Facilities Director.     The scope of work of this NON-PLA bid package involves:

    Asphalt paving repairs, slurry seal and re-striping at parking lots at Deer Valley High School.

    Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications, and bid/contract documents from the Facilities Department, Antioch Unified School District by email to: facilities@antiochschools.net

    A 10% bid bond will be required.

    Pursuant to Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act, projects of less than $200,000, maybe awarded by informal procedures set forth in the PCC 22032.

    All Bidders are hereby notified that the Contractors bidding shall provide a statement of qualifications, be a licensed California contractor and shall comply with the State Labor Code and DVBE sub-contracting requirements. Prevailing wage rates are required.

    "No discrimination shall be made in the employment of person(s) upon public works because of race, religious creed, color, national origin, ancestry, physical handicap, medical condition, marital status, or sex of such persons, except as provided in Section 12940 of the Government Code, and every contractor for public works violating this section is subject to all the penalties imposed for a violation of this chapter."

    California Law requires that all contractors and subcontractors bidding on Public Works Construction Projects be registered with the Director of Industrial Relations (DIR) prior to submitting a bid and pay an annual fee to the DIR.     A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walk will be held on September 26, 2019 at 2.00 pm. Please meet at the School Office, Deer Valley High School, 4700 Lone Tree Way, Antioch, CA 94531. Attendance is not required to bid for General Contractors.
