AHS Learning Centers Information
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Antioch High School will be opening up several classrooms designated as learning centers, where your child can participate in their current online classroom instruction under the supervision of either an administrator, teacher or a paraprofessional.
The learning centers will be open April 27 – June 17, our last day of instruction, from 7:45 – 1:30 Tuesday – Friday.
The learning centers will be self-contained. Students will remain in the same classroom throughout their day in stable groups. We will follow the contact tracing guidelines established by the California Department of Public Health. Families of students exposed to other students or staff who test positive for COVID-19 will be notified.
- Students will be expected to remain in their classrooms throughout their scheduled day. They will not be permitted to leave campus and return at a later time. If a student needs to leave campus, they will need to report to our attendance office and a parent will be notified.
- Temperature checks will be done for any student entering campus. All students will enter through Beede Auditorium. Anyone with a temperature exceeding 100.3 degrees will be asked to return home.
- Students will need a working AUSD issued laptop daily to enter a learning center. If your child needs a device, they will be redirected to our district office, located at 510 G Street, to check out a working laptop between the hours of 8-4 p.m.
- Please have your child bring their own headphones or earbuds daily. If your child does not have headphones or earbuds, the school will provide a set for their use in the learning centers.
- Appropriate school attire will be expected.
- Students will be provided a grab-n-go style package that will contain lunch, supper and the next day’s breakfast upon dismissal. Water fountains will not be accessible as a measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Students should bring water each day.
- Students and staff shall wear masks at all times and masks will be provided for any student who needs one. Hand sanitizer will be available in each classroom. Appropriate social physical distancing will be maintained at all times.

We are Proud to Announce the 2021 - Teacher of the Year!
This year has been anything but normal. Everyone, including our teachers had to rewrite education without any notice or a guidebook. It's no surprise that this year, AUSD had the greatest number of Teacher of the Year nominees than it has seen in years. To view our 2021 Teacher of the Year and Runner-Up, click on READ MORE.
