Dear Parents and Guardians,
Today at around 10:12 am, a small fire ignited at Marchetti Park. The fire was near the rear field of the school. Due to the fire being near the school, the entire school was put on Shelter in Place. This was to prevent students from being exposed to smoke. The Antioch Fire Dept arrived on scene within minutes to work on extinguishing the fire. At 10:40 am, Principal Stone confirmed with Antioch Fire Department that the fire was out, and it was safe to remove the Shelter in Place.
Our goal is first and foremost to make sure that all scholars at Turner are safe. We do not use Shelter in Place or other emergency plans without sincere need.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Principal Stone by phone (925) 779-7430 or via email at jessecastone@antiochschools.net.
