Hello Parents,

Mark your calendars for our exciting opportunities to meet as parents and support our schools. The District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) continues for the 2025-26 school year. The first agenda was planned by the DELAC president in May of 2025 for the first meeting scheduled for September 18th. If you have any topic suggestions for future meetings please email Dr. Essence J. Phillips at essencephillips@antiochschools.net or call 925-779-7500*40524 or leave a response to this post. 😊 Make sure you attend your school sites’ ELAC meetings throughout the year.

Mark your calendars for our exciting opportunities to meet as parents and support our schools. The African American Parent Advisory Committee (AAPAC) group is an affinity space for African American parents and students to share experiences, advocate meaningful change in our schools, connect with other families, empower each other through resources, and have impact on policies and programs. We are working to create the agenda for the first meeting scheduled for September 18th. If you have any topic suggestions please email Dr. Essence J. Phillips at essencephillips@antiochschools.net call 925-779-7500*40524, or leave a response to this post. 😊 I am interested in hearing your meeting topic suggestions. Also check in with your site principal; we are looking for active parents to serve as representatives for each school.

Welcome back to a brand-new school year at Mno Grant Elementary! I hope this letter finds you and your family well-rested, recharged, and ready for an exciting year ahead. On behalf of our entire staff, I am thrilled to welcome you back to our vibrant school community.
As we step into this new academic year, we are filled with pride over the many successes we achieved together last year. From academic growth to social-emotional development, our students demonstrated resilience, curiosity, and a strong sense of community. These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication of our students, the support of our families, and the hard work of our exceptional staff.
This year, we are committed to building on that momentum. Our focus remains on fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically and emotionally. We will continue to strengthen our instructional practices, support student well-being, and cultivate a culture of kindness, respect, and lifelong learning.
We look forward to partnering with you once again to support your child’s journey. Your involvement—whether through volunteering, attending school events, or simply staying connected—makes a meaningful difference in our school community.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Let’s make this school year one of continued growth, joyful learning, and shared success.
