During our student's library visits they are enjoying being read the books nominated in the Primary and Picture Books for Older Readers categories for the California Young Reader Medal. Another category that our students can participate in is the Intermediate Category. These books are fiction chapter books recommended for grades 3rd-6th. The nominated books are The Labors of Hercules Beal by Gary D. Schmidt, Coyote Lost and Found by Dan Gemeinhart, and Dogtown by Katherine Applegate and Gennifer Choldenko. We have 1 copy of each of these books in our library donated to the library by our PTA. They can also be checked out at the public library. Please encourage your students to read these books so that they can participate in the voting which is due before April 1st. You can find all the voting information at https://www.californiayoungreadermedal.org/vote

Hello January
Intra-district (Within District) applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be available online through the Aeries Parent Portal. The application window is from January 12 to March 1—no applications will be accepted after March 1. You must have an active Parent Portal account to complete the application. Note that students who are not enrolled cannot submit an intra-district application.

Once you submit your application, you will receive an acknowledgment email confirming its submission. Applications will be reviewed over the summer, and you will receive a decision via email from DoNotReply@aeries.net.

If your student has been overflowed to Mno Grant and you want them to remain here for the 2026-2027 school year instead of returning to their home school, you must complete the online intra-district application prior to March 1st. Failure to submit this application will result in your child being assigned to their home school for the next school year.

For 5th and 6th-grade students, if you wish for your child to attend a middle school other than their designated school, it is imperative that you submit an online intra-district application prior to March 1st.

Inter-District (Out-of-district) applications for the 2026-2027 school year will be accepted from January 12 to March 1 via paper application. You may submit this application to Student Services. No applications will be accepted after March 1. If you currently have an inter-district application for the 2025-2026 school year, you will need to resubmit an application each school year.

Hello everyone! The Mno PTA is excited to prepare for the Winter Wonderland Dance and needs your help! They are looking for donations of store-bought goodies like cookies, cupcakes, prepackaged treats, and bottled water to make the event special. If you’d like to contribute, please drop off your donations at the office. Just a quick reminder: please avoid any nut products. They are also in need of volunteers to help with setup and cleanup. Thank you so much for your support — we can’t wait to celebrate together!
