Takeisha Harris has dedicated more than 20 years to public education, serving in a variety of instructional and leadership roles, including teacher, department lead, coach, AVID Coordinator, Curriculum Instructional Specialist, Vice Principal, Associate Principal, and most recently, Principal of Park Middle School.

Mrs. Harris earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Government & Politics and Psychology from the University of Maryland University College in 2006. She later earned a Master of Science in Liberal Studies, with an emphasis in History and a minor in Criminal Justice, from Texas A&M University–Central Texas in 2011. Inspired by the mentorship of a former principal and a passion for educational leadership, she continued her academic journey by earning a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University–Central Texas in 2016. Mrs. Harris is currently completing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and is expected to graduate in Fall 2026. Throughout her career, Mrs. Harris has remained committed to advancing educational equity, instructional excellence, and student achievement. Most recently, she served on the Contra Costa African American/Black Student Success Network Improvement Committee, collaborating with educational leaders from across the county to develop and implement equity-centered strategies designed to improve academic achievement and social-emotional outcomes for Black students.

During her tenure in Texas public schools, Mrs. Harris served on numerous district and state committees, including the District Discipline Consistency and Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) Placement Improvement Team, Site-Based Decision-Making Committee, AVID Site Team, Texas Education Agency (TEA) Standard Setting Committee, Secondary Curriculum Council, and the 2015 TEA Proclamation Panel. She has also led curriculum development initiatives for Killeen ISD and facilitated professional learning for educators across the district. Her presentations have focused on topics including the Killeen ISD Student Code of Conduct Review, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), closing the achievement gap, culturally relevant pedagogy, and creating engaging, relevant learning experiences for students. As an instructional leader, Mrs. Harris is dedicated to building collaborative school cultures where students, staff, and families feel valued, supported, and empowered. She believes in fostering high expectations, strengthening instructional practices, and ensuring every student has equitable access to opportunities for success. A proud native of Texas, Mrs. Harris enjoys spending time outdoors and making lasting memories with her extended family.

Courtney joins us from Mt. Diablo Unified School District in Concord, bringing more than 22 years of experience in education across Alameda and Contra Costa counties. She spent the majority of her career as a teacher in the San Lorenzo Unified School District before transitioning into school leadership in 2022. Most recently, she served as Vice Principal at El Dorado Middle School, where she spent the past four years supporting students, staff, and families while fostering a positive, inclusive school community.

Courtney earned her degree in Physical Education and Health Science and is a former NCAA All-American softball player and Hall of Fame inductee at Chabot College. Her passion for teamwork, leadership, and student success continues to shape her approach to education and school leadership.

A proud Bay Area native, Courtney (Watson) was born and raised in Fremont and has resided in Concord since 2006. She has two teenagers who attend schools in MDUSD and has been with her partner for five years, sharing a love of adventure and exploring Sayulita, Mexico. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams and tending to her ever-growing collection of plants and flowers. 

Courtney is excited to join the Spartan team and looks forward to getting to know students, staff, and families as she works together with the school community to support every student's success.
