🌞Free Summer Meals for Children starting this Wednesday! The AUSD Nutrition Services Department is proud to offer all children 18 and under free breakfast and lunch when school is out for the summer. Sites will be open from 6/11-7/17, Monday-Friday. We will be closed on 6/19 and 7/4. Children may receive 1 breakfast and 1 lunch per day. All meals must be consumed on site. This is a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, June 9, 2025, is our 8th grade promotion at 9:00. The gate will open for ticketed entry at 8:30. General admission with no ticket required is at 8:45. Seating is first come first served. We look forward to our celebration as this is a very special event. We encourage our students to dress nicely on this day. Their “Sunday best” is encouraged; however formal (prom-type) attire is not appropriate. We also ask that families not bring balloons to the celebration as it interferes with the view of others.
For our 6th and 7th grade students we will be on a special bell schedule for the day, with dismissal at 1:05. Please plan pick up accordingly.
Our last day of school is Tuesday, June 10, 2025 with dismissal at 1:05. We wish you all a wonderful ending to this great school year and we hope you have a restful and fun summer break.

Good morning Dallas Ranch Middle School Community,
I wanted to update you on the events of this morning, May 28, 2025. At approximately 10:25, we got a report of an individual in the middle of the street, yelling, cursing, and making potential threats while holding a sign. Our administrators, armed security, and staff immediately called the Antioch Police Department, and worked to diffuse the situation. In an abundance of caution, we locked the school down for approximately 15 minutes. When students were released, the individual had been cleared by APD and removed from the area. We thank our AUSD Security (SR Global) and the Antioch police for their support and quick response. The situation was handled, and no students were impacted. We appreciate the patience of all families while we handled the situation and worked to help keep our students safe.
It is always our policy to first secure the safety of our students and then notify our community of the results.
As a parent, I understand your concerns; please know our student’s safety is of the upmost importance to all AUSD Staff.

Dallas Ranch Families, we will be hosting our 7th grade award ceremony this week on Thursday 5/22 at 3:00PM in the Cafeteria. If your child received an invitation please join us to celebrate. 8th Grade award ceremony will be held on June 3rd at 3:00 PM. Please keep an eye out for those invitations coming home next week. As always don't hesitate to call the office should you have any questions.
Good Afternoon Dallas Ranch Families, there are two important announcements we'd like to share. First announcement, on Thursday 5/15 we held a 3.0 and above Celebration during 5th and 6th Periods. If your child attended, they might have been marked absent from class due to their attendance to the celebration. We are actively working on correcting your child's attendance. Second announcement, on Monday 5/19 we will be handing out invitations to 6th grade students who have been nominated to receive an End of the Year Award. If your child receives an invitation, we would love for you to join us celebrate them on Tuesday 5/20 @ 3:00PM in the Cafeteria. 7th and 8th Grade ceremonies will occur at a later date, we will notify you of those dates next week.
