Hello, Kimball Community! My name is Alison Stroot. I'm very happy to be returning to the Kimball Elementary family as the Vice Principal. This is my second year in Antioch Unified. I spent a good deal of my teaching career in the San Jose Unified School District (21 years). As a classroom teacher, I have taught all grades except kindergarten, and worked as both an instructional coach and an intervention specialist. I hold a bachelor's degree in communication from Santa Clara University and a master's degree in education (Administration and Supervision) from San Jose State University. I'm passionate about student support, teacher support, and helping to make school everyone's happy place.
A little more about me: I have two kids, two dogs, two cats, and a leopard gecko. My hobbies include decorating cakes and cookies, Pilates, and gardening.
Hello Kimball community,
I feel very fortunate to be entering my fifth year as the principal of Kimball Elementary, and my 26th year with Antioch Unified School District. Before coming to Kimball, I spent 18 years in the classroom teaching first through fifth grades, and four years serving other campuses in an administration capacity. In addition to my time in AUSD, I taught several quarters at California State University East Bay in the Teachers Education Department.
Kimball Elementary is truly a unique school and a "hidden gem" in Antioch. If you are new to our school - welcome, we are so happy to have you! If you are a returning family - thank you for helping to make Kimball the wonderful learning place that it is!

A little about me: I have three awesome children! I like creating and constructing things, and love sports. I play softball and disc golf and enjoy watching all sports. I especially like going to baseball and hockey games with family and friends. If I'm not at school, I'm usually on the field or at a field or arena.
