Mno Grant Elementary School

Mno Grant was proud to welcome back several former students for a special Grad Walk celebration! It was inspiring to see these graduating seniors from Antioch High School, Dozier-Libbey Medical High School, and Deer Valley High return to the school where their educational journey began. They had the opportunity to reconnect with former principal Mrs. Zuniga, who made a special appearance for the special occasion, and their previous teachers. Our current Grizzlies cheered them on as they walked through campus in their caps and gowns, serving as a wonderful reminder that hard work, perseverance, and determination can lead to great accomplishments. We are so proud of our former students and wish them all the best as they begin their next chapter!

June is here, and we're wrapping up another amazing school year! We have a few exciting events ahead as we celebrate our students, staff, and all the memories we've made together. The last day of school is June 5th, and then it's time for summer break! We hope everyone has a fun, safe, and relaxing summer filled with sunshine, adventure, and plenty of time to recharge. Kinder and 6th-grade promotion ceremonies will take place on Thursday, June 4th. To help minimize distractions and make the celebration enjoyable for all families, please keep balloons, flowers, leis, and gifts in your vehicle until after the promotion ceremony has concluded. This week, students checked out their last library books of the school year. All library books are due back the week of May 18th-21st.

Let's wrap up the year with our Burgers & Books fundraiser on Sunday, May 17th! Barnes and Noble and Red Robin are next to each other, making it easy to enjoy both while supporting Mno Grant. Funds from Barnes and Noble will help support our school library — thank you for your support!

This is a friendly reminder that students may not bring carbonated drinks, including sodas, sugary drinks, candy, or large bags of chips, as mentioned on page 4 of the school handbook. We have recently seen an increase in students bringing these items to school, and we need parent support in helping students follow school expectations. Thank you for your partnership and support in keeping our campus focused and ready for learning.

Join us for the Open House on Thursday, May 14th, at Mno Grant! Come and see all the amazing work our students have accomplished this year. Please remember that the following day, Friday, May 15th, will be a minimum day.

May is here, and we're heading into the final stretch of the school year at Mno Grant! Be sure to check out our May calendar for important events, activities, and key dates. We're excited to finish the year strong with our students and families — Summer is just around the corner!

The newcomer center will remain closed starting Friday, May 1st.

Our Kids Heart Challenge winners had a blast celebrating their hard work! Students who either raised over $100 or completed Finn's Mission earned a fun reward, getting to spray their teachers with silly string.

It was a messy, laughter-filled moment that everyone enjoyed, and we are so proud of our students for supporting such an important cause. Be sure to check out the photos to see all the fun in action!

At Mno Grant Elementary, we take pride in being good neighbors! As a friendly reminder during pick-up and drop-off, please avoid blocking driveways, follow all parking guidelines, and drive slowly through the surrounding neighborhoods.

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up, and we'd love your help in making it extra special for our amazing Mno Grant Teachers! We are currently accepting donations to help provide treats and goodies throughout the week. We're also looking for volunteers to assist with setup and clean up. Your support means so much to our teachers!

This city-sponsored event will be at Antioch High on April 23.
