Good evening and Happy Veterans Day! To all in our Grant Community and all armed forces veterans around the world, the Grizzlies appreciate you and your service!
Here are the updates for this week:
- Ruby Bridges Walk on 11/14 @ 8:10am. Parents and students are invited to walk with us around the block in front of our school. Permission slips were sent home last week, and we encourage all students to join us in honor of Ruby Bridges. If you would like your student to participate, please send in your signed permission slip or contact us if you need a new copy.
-Next week is Conference Week and we will have minimum days all week (11/18-11/22)
-The Bear Den will be open for Grades 1st-6th after school on Wednesday 11/13.
I also want to make you aware of our “compliment campaign” at Grant. During our most recent Professional Development our staff agreed to make an intentional effort to compliment our scholars even more than usual. We are actively looking for the good in our students and will be complimenting them as they do the big & little things they deserve to be recognized for. We have already felt the contagiousness of this as students are beginning to compliment each other and the adult staff in return!
Have a great rest of your 3-day weekend and we will look forward to seeing you bright and early on Tuesday morning.

There will be no school on Monday, November 11th, in observance of Veteran's Day.
