🌞Free Summer Meals for Children starting this Wednesday! The AUSD Nutrition Services Department is proud to offer all children 18 and under free breakfast and lunch when school is out for the summer. Sites will be open from 6/11-7/17, Monday-Friday. We will be closed on 6/19 and 7/4. Children may receive 1 breakfast and 1 lunch per day. All meals must be consumed on site. Please note there will be no meal service for Turner Elementary School on Friday, June 13th. Please refer to schedule for alternate sites.

Dia De Los Muertos Ofrenda (Altar) - if you would like to have your child participate in this year's ofrenda to honor lost loved ones (including pets), please send in a framed photo with your child's name and teacher on the back by Friday, 10/18.

It's Dress Like a Pirate Day this Friday!
First ELAC Meeting of the year is tomorrow, August 27 @ 8:30 in room C2. All are welcome. Please come to have your voice heard about our English Language Development here at Mission.
This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow is a minimum day. Our TK/K scholars will be dismissed at 11:35, 1st-3rd scholars at 11:40, and 4th-5th scholars at 11:45. Also, there will be a Kona Ice fundraiser tomorrow after school in the front parking lot.

This is a reminder that tomorrow, August 15 is Back to School Night. The principal's message will begin at 5:30 in the cafeteria. Classroom visits session 1 will begin at 6:00 and classroom visits session 2 will begin at 6:30. The evening will end at 7:00. We look forward to seeing parents and families tomorrow evening to meet the teacher and learn all about the amazing things your scholar(s) will learn this year.

Friday, August 16th is also our first spirit day of the year. It is Olympic Day: We work hard to train our brains. Wear your favorite sport or sports team jersey or shirt.
