Hello Thomas Gaines 8th Grade Scholars and Families, The 8th Grade promotion for TGVA will be held in person at Black Diamond Middle School on Tuesday, June 4th at 9:00am. 8th grade scholars must be up to date on their immunizations to participate in the ceremony. There will be a promotion rehearsal on Monday, June 3rd at 12:00 PM in the Black Diamond Middle School Theater. Scholars should come to the TGVA office to sign-in on the day of the rehearsal and we will walk down to the theater to practice. Tickets are available for pick up in our Thomas Gaines Virtual Academy office at 4730 Sterling Hill Drive through May 28th. Students will receive 4 tickets. This does not include the promoting student. If you would like additional tickets, you can complete a request form in our office. Parent/guardians must sign for the promotion tickets. Any tickets that are not picked up by the end of day on May 28th will be released to those who have completed a request for additional tickets. We would like to have pictures of our 8th graders to display in a slideshow. Please email any photos you would like contributed to the slide show to CrystalBerry@antiochschools.net. Type Promotion Pics in the subject line of the e-mail. Pictures can include your scholar engaged in their school activities like doing homework, PE, or in a class meeting, etc. Please submit all pictures by May 29th if you would like them included in the slide show.

TGVA families, if you have an 8th grader that needs assistance with the High School Pathway selection process, teachers will be available in the TGVA office to help them on Thursday, 11/16 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM and Friday, 11/17 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM.

There is no school tomorrow, November 10 in observance of Veteran's Day. School will resume on Monday, November 13th @ 8:15 AM.
