Parent teacher conferences for elementary students in grades TK-5 will be held Monday, 11/6/23 through Thursday, 11/9/23. Students will be on a minimum day schedule during these days. The dismissal time will be 11:10 AM. There will be no school on Friday, 11/10/23 in observation of Veteran's Day.
TGVA families, please mark you calendars to attend the 8th grade Pathway Presentation with your 8th grader on Tuesday, 11/7 @ 1:00 PM on Microsoft Teams. You will hear important information about high school selections, academies, and more.
The Halloween Dance for 6th -8th graders with a 2.0 or above and no major discipline will be today from 3:45 PM -6:30 PM in the courtyard near the cafeteria. Students may wear costumes. No masks or weapons. The cost to enter will be $3. Nachos - $2, Water-$1, Gatorade- $2, Candy bars- 2 for $3.

The date of the BDMS Halloween Dance for students in grades 6th - 8th has been changed back to Friday, 10/27 from 3:45 PM to 6:30 PM in the courtyard near the cafeteria. Students may wear costumes. Masks and weapons are not allowed. TGVA students with a 2.0 GPA and no major referrals for discipline can attend. The cost is $4.00.
This year, the theme for Red Ribbon Week is "Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free." TGVA students should wear red tomorrow in recognition of Red Ribbon Week and their commitment to stay drug free!

Pathway Information Night for 8th graders will be held at Deer Valley High School this evening from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM and at Antioch High School on Thursday, 10/26 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Information about the high school experience, the lottery and application process, career technical education programs and more will be discussed. We highly encourage that you and your 8th grade student attend these valuable nights.
Girls' and boys' basketball tryouts with BDMS students in grades 6th-8th will begin on Monday 10/23. The girls will be from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Boys will be from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Hello TGVA Scholars and Families,
We have secured a sub for students that previously had Coach J for PE. Her name is Ms. Alejandra Rosas-Gomez. PE for students in grades 6th through 8th that previously had Coach J as a teacher will have asynchronous work for today. For PE, their assignment will be to write an exercise plan and do it. Ms. Rosas-Gomez will begin meeting with students on Teams tomorrow, 10/11.

TGVA students in grades 7th and 8th are invited to attend the first town hall/pep rally on Friday, September 29, from 11:55-1:00 at Black Diamond Middle School. Seventh-grade students should wear white, and 8th-grade students should wear black to show their school spirit. Call the TGVA office by Thursday, 9/28 if your student will be attending. Provide your student's name and grade. Students should be dropped off at the TGVA office at 11:45 AM on 9/29 and picked up at 1:00 PM.
