Good Morning Eagles! We have officially begun the new school year! As a reminder, AMS students will be released at 1:15pm today and tomorrow. Regular school day release at 2:40pm starting Monday, 8/12. Every Wednesday is a Minimum release day. We are going to have a wonderful school year!
Hello Eagles! Safety Reminder: Please use the MPR loop or staff parking lot when dropping off/picking up students. Please pull over to the curb when dropping off and picking up your student. Do not stop in the middle of the street. Please encourage students to use the crosswalks. Thank you for keeping everyone safe!

This year, we are going to kick off our sports season with basketball! Any student interested in representing our AMS Eagle basketball team, can attend the student informational meeting at 3pm on 8/2 in the AMS gym. Both boys and girls will receive all the information needed to tryout. GO EAGLES!!

Hello AUSD Families! The 12th annual "Stuff the Bus" Back to School Supply Giveaway will be on Saturday, August 3rd at Dallas Ranch Middle School starting at 10am. Q -"How can I order/pay for PE clothes for my student?"
A-All AMS PE clothing can be purchased online at https://amspeclothes.square.site/ . You can pick up your order during Registration, or when school starts by providing the payment confirmation number to your student's PE teacher.
Q-"My student has an outstanding fee. How can I clear this balance?"
A - Payments for outstanding fees can be made in cash or money order ONLY. AMS cannot accept card payments at this time.

It is time for our 8th grade Eagles to leave the nest. Our Promotion Ceremony will be held at the AHS Stadium. Parking is available in the Student Parking Lot across E18th Street from the stadium. Other parking is available on L Street at the Fair Grounds at 9:15 am (see attachment for details.) Gates to the stadium open at 9:30. 8th grade students must check in at the far end of the football field before 10:00 am. Only students and AUSD staff are allowed on the field. The Ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30. After the ceremony the students will walk out of the stadium to the small field near parking lot A. Students will receive a goodie bag from ELAC and Eagle parents' groups. Eagle parents have also created a photo station for families to take pictures of their scholars. We hope for a joyous occasion for all!
AMS Sports Families! Today is the Sports Banquet! All AMS students who played a sport this school year are invited to attend! Doors open at 4:00 and dinner will be served from 4:15pm-4:45pm. Gooooo EAGLES!
We're almost there Eagles! 8th graders will practice on Monday (6/3) and Tuesday (6/4) at AMS during their 1st and 2nd period classes. Tickets for promotion will be passed out during practice. 8th Grade Promotion is Wed 6/5 at 10:30am at AHS.
