Next week, we will be on our regular dismissal schedule for M-Th. Friday will be a minimum day for TK-8th. Back to School Night is Thursday, 8/14. A flyer will be sent home with more detailed information on that night. It was a great first week back!! Have a wonderful weekend.

Reminders:
Due to many students with peanut allergies, OPS is a peanut-free campus. Please do not send your student to school with food items that contain peanuts.
The curb areas along the drop-off/pick-up zones are not parking spaces. Those are loading and unloading zones only. You cannot park there and leave your car unattended. If you wish to park, use a parking space. Thank you for your cooperation.

Dismissal times are: AMTK-10:30, PMTK-1:00, K-11:00, 1st-3rd-11:20, 4th-5th-11:30, 6th-8th-1:00. On these days, elementary students must be picked up at their dismissal times and cannot wait for middle school students.

Registration is today 7/29 from 10-2 and tomorrow 7/30 from 3-7. You MUST complete the registration forms online in Aeries BEFORE coming to registration. Those that do not complete the registration forms online will be sent home and asked to return once the forms have been completed through Aeries. Straw Hat and Aloha Ice will be at registration.

🌞Free Summer Meals for Children starting this Wednesday! The AUSD Nutrition Services Department is proud to offer all children 18 and under free breakfast and lunch when school is out for the summer. Sites will be open from 6/11-7/17, Monday-Friday. We will be closed on 6/19 and 7/4. Children may receive 1 breakfast and 1 lunch per day. All meals must be consumed on site. Visit our website at www.antiochschools.net/page/summermeals for meal service times, locations, and menus. We look forward to serving your children this summer! Sites and dates are subject to change. Please note there will be no meal service for Turner Elementary School on Friday, June 13th. Please refer to schedule for alternate sites.

K-8th graders are on a minimum day schedule today and tomorrow, 6/9 & 6/10. Dismissal times are K-11:40, 1st-3rd 11:50, 4th-5th 12:10 and 6th-8th 12:40. Elementary students must be picked up at their dismissal times. They cannot wait for middle school students. Office closes today at 1:00 so staff can attend the 8th-grade promotion.

Reminder that 6th-8th grades are on a minimum day schedule this week, June 2-6. Their dismissal time is 12:40. Middle school students must leave at their dismissal times. They cannot wait around for elementary students to get out. Elementary students have their normal dismissal times.

8th grade promotion tickets are now available for pick-up in the office. Each student will receive 8 tickets. Parents/guardians must come in to sign for the tickets. We still have a few 8th-grade yard signs that haven't been picked up too.

Open House is Thursday, May 29th from 5-7. The schedule for the event is: classroom visits 5-6:30, OPS Band/Orchestra performance in the quad 6:30-7:00, and community/craft vendors in the MPR and Straw Hat Pizza truck 5-7. Friday, May 30th, is a minimum day for K-8th grades. Dismissal times are: K 11:40, 1st-3rd 11:50, 4th-5th 12:10, 6th-8th 12:40. Elementary students must be picked up at their dismissal times. They cannot wait for middle school students to be dismissed.

The PTO Penny Wars fundraiser had begun. Pennies and dollars earn points for your grade level. Silver coins deduct points from other grade levels. The grade level with the most points at the end of the week will win an ice cream party. Grade level collecting tubes will be in the quad before school. No school 5/23 & 5/26.

Don't forget about the PTO Chuck-E-Cheese dine out fundraiser tonight 5/8. Please speak with your child about not following TikTok challenges. The new challenge involves putting lead into the computers. This is vandalism that will destroy the computer and could start a fire. Thank you for your support.

Tomorrow is the big day of our Fun Run. Families may come watch their student run. Please enter through the office. Run times are: TK-K 9:45- 10:30, 1st-2nd 10:30- 11:15, 3rd-5th 11:15- 12:00, 6th-8th Color Run 1:45- 2:30. Wear clothes to run in. 6th-8th wear something you don't mind having color thrown on.
