Deer Valley Families,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at Deer Valley High School!
As Principal, there is nothing more important to me than building and strengthening our school community. Community is the foundation of a positive school culture, and it is what makes Deer Valley such a special place for our students, staff, and families.
A strong community is built when we work together to support our students’ success in the classroom and prepare them for life after high school. One of our biggest priorities at Deer Valley is ensuring every student is on track for A-G readiness. Completing A-G requirements keeps doors open for our students by giving them access to college opportunities, while also building the academic habits, discipline, and resilience needed for future success. A-G readiness is more than checking off classes—it is about preparing students for the choices and opportunities that will shape their futures.
Community is also built outside the classroom. Some of the best memories in high school are made at sporting events, performances, and school activities. There is something special about Friday night lights, packed gymnasiums, cheering in the stands, and watching our Wolverines compete with pride and heart. These events bring students, families, staff, and the larger Deer Valley community together in a way that strengthens school spirit and creates lasting connections. Supporting our students at games and activities reminds them that they are part of something bigger than themselves.
This year, I encourage all of us to continue building a community rooted in trust, connection, and a shared commitment to doing what is best for our students. Whether it is supporting academics, attending family nights, or showing up at athletic events, every moment we invest in our school community makes a difference.
Thank you for being an important part of the Deer Valley community. I look forward to seeing you at our events throughout the year and partnering with you to make this a successful and memorable school year.
Go Wolverines!
Sincerely,
Robby Bowers
