Superintendent's Student Advisory Council
Introduction
The Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council (SAC) serves as a vital forum for student voice, offering direct input on district initiatives and strategies to enhance communication between students and district leadership. Comprised of 8th–12th grade students who reflect the rich diversity of the Antioch Unified School District (AUSD), the SAC ensures that a wide range of perspectives are represented. Council members meet quarterly with the Superintendent to share insights, elevate student concerns, and help shape decisions that impact the AUSD community.
Members of SAC have a unique opportunity to advise district leadership on policies and initiatives that affect all students within AUSD. This role not only empowers SAC members to develop essential leadership skills but also positions them as influential contributors to the educational landscape. By participating in the SAC, members can enhance their college applications with meaningful experiences that demonstrate their commitment to advocacy and collaboration.
