Your Ideas. Your Voice. Real Solutions.
Are you a high school student who is fed up with scrolling past problems you can't solve? Ready to actually DO something?
The world's biggest challenges—climate crisis, inequality, access to healthcare, food security—they're not going away. But what if you could spend one day with people who get it? Who are just as fired up as you are? Who refuse to just stand by?
Hack the Planet isn't another lecture. It's your chance to build something that matters.
For the first time, we're bringing Hack the Planet, a county-wide event right here to Antioch through a partnership between the Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) and Antioch Unified School District (AUSD), along with corporate sponsorships. High school students from across Contra Costa County will converge in our community for a day of innovation and impact.
Here's the deal: You team up with other students, teachers, and developers who care as deeply as you do. Pick a problem that keeps you up at night—any of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Then use Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM), coding, AI, and pure creative problem-solving to innovate a real solution. In one day.
What You'll Get:
A team of like-minded changemakers who share your passion
Tools and tech to bring bold ideas to life
Workshops and mentorship from industry pros who've been where you are
The chance to pitch your solution to experts (and compete for amazing prizes)
Food, networking, and the energy that only comes from a room full of people who refuse to accept the status quo
This isn't about having all the answers. It's about caring enough to try.
You don't need to be a coding genius or have it all figured out. You just need to show up with your frustration, your hope, and your willingness to collaborate.
